RDK Consulting, Inc. (RDK) is a client-focused, full-service project management firm headquartered in La Jolla, California. During the last fifteen years, RDK has been involved in project management consulting with San Diego and Riverside counties, various cities, and redevelopment agencies throughout Southern California. We regularly serve as the Owner's representative / project manager responsible for the design and construction of various public and private/public sector projects. We are responsible for communicating with all levels of the public sector to achieve successful completion of well over $500 million of in-place projects. Each project completed on time and within the pre-established budgets without a single construction claim, with all change orders under 3% of base contracts. Several of these projects are described below:

The San Diego County Library Capital Program with new libraries in Potrero, Rancho San Diego, Valley Center, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Spring Valley, Julian, and Bonita, Julian. Development began in the winter of 2000 with programming, architect selections, community meetings and design initiation. In 2001 two branches opened, with the remaining three opened in 2002. This new facility program improved the level of service throughout San Diego County with state-of-the-art library services. These projects total approximately 80,000 square feet of facilities and improvements. The initial five-seven building program was completed in less than 36 months from initiation through occupancy.

The Larson Justice Center in Indio, California, a $35 million, 12-courtroom criminal and civil courthouse project. The project included the construction of a 700-foot tunnel linking the basement holding areas with the existing County jail. The project was completed in 24 months, with no claims and change orders within the original CIP bond budget. This project was completed under contract to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors in 1997.

The Riverside County Sheriff Capital Program included new stations for Jurupa Valley, Hemet, Lake Elsinore, Cabazon, and the Desert Forensic Center in Indio. Initial work began in March 1997. This program developed major new area facilities and significantly upgraded the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's community presence. Indio initial work began March 1997 with site selection for the Jurupa Valley Station, a 40,000 square foot facility. This $7.2 million Design/Build project opened September 1998. Scope included land acquisition and infrastructure improvements for the new State Crime Lab and area street improvements. The Hemet Station followed with completion in November 1999, 15 months after land acquisition. The Lake Elsinore Station opened April 2000, representing fulfillment of the initial development program. These projects were completed in 36 months, with minimal change orders, each within the original project budget. This program was expanded to include the Desert Forensic Center in Indio, which opened in 2001, and the Cabazon Station in 2003.

General Civic Project Experience includes Blythe County Administration Center, Palo Verde School District headquarters, Palo Verde Hospital Out-Patient Clinic, Blythe City Hall, Blythe Police Headquarters, Riverside County Administration Center, Annex and parking structure, Murrieta City Hall at Town Square, and Murrieta Library.
